ADDRESS REGISTRATION & ACCOMMODATION

1. How to Register Your Address in Türkiye

All local and international residents in Türkiye must register their current address. You have 20 days to do this after getting your work or residence permit card. If you move to a new address, you need to update your registration at the Migration Office (Göç İdaresi).

⚠️ Students under 18 must wait until they turn 18 to register their address.

Step 1: Prepare the Required Documents
1. Residence permit card and a photocopy (both sides)
2. Passport and a photocopy of the ID page
3. Student Certificate (Öğrenci Belgesi)
    – Download it from e-Devlet
    – Or ask for it at Student Affairs in T-Block
4. Housing Documents – Depending on Where You Live:

– Letter of stay from the dorm
– Signature Circular or Work License
– Must be signed and stamped by the dorm director
Tenant (Rental Apartment):
– Notary-approved rental contract (all pages, original + copy)
– Utility bill (electricity, water, or gas)
– May require DASK or tapu if no one is registered at your new address
– If bills are in the homeowner’s name, include it in the rental contract or prepare a commitment letter (taahhütname) at a notary
– If the contract is under parents’ names: show a family document, birth certificate, or proof of relation (translated, notarized, apostilled)
Living with Someone (Not on Contract):
– Commitment letter (taahhütname)
– The person you live with must come with you to the registration office
If You Own the Flat:
